Mrs. Verstoppen

My name is Kaylee Verstoppen. I am a fifth grade teacher, and  at Central Elementary in Nampa, Idaho. In addition to my responsibilities, I also share lead teacher responsibilities with Courtney Davlin (4th grade) and play and am an active member of the PTA. I have been married for five years to my wonderful husband and we have a 20 year old daughter, 3 year old son, and a 11 month old baby girl !

I grew up here in Nampa and love being a part of this community. I attended college at Boise State (Go Broncos!) where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Bilingual Elementary Education. I graduated from the University of Idaho in May, 2015, with my Master's degree in Educational Leadership.

I am an avid reader and in my spare time love to curl up with a good book! I also love to travel with my family and spend time outdoors camping and riding our Can-Am.

I have high expectations for every student and will do all that I can to help them meet those expectations. A quality education requires a team effort and hard work from the teacher, parent, and student. I am excited to help your child reach his/her maximum potential this year!

Fifth grade is a big year in preparing for middle school. Focus, a positive attitude, and a bit of risk-taking are expected in order to achieve our goals. Our work will be challenging, but very rewarding and I expect students to take initiative and responsibility for their own learning. Parent-teacher collaboration is very important to me.  If you have any issues, concerns or questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. You can reach me through email or phone.
